• In rereading this post in August 2017, it really reminds me how irrelevant some of the big news stories de jour end up being. The ‘Pence is Heckled’ at Hamilton’ story absolutely dominated the news cycle for at least half a week.

• In light of Trump’s comments that led to North Korea threatening Guam, it seems that my last paragraph concerning Trump’s spur-of-the-moment comments negatively impacting foreign policy was all too real.
• Given Trump’s low approval ratings have hit an all-time low at the time of writing, it seems a free speech-related power grab seems unlikely (at least for the time being).
